How the Mouse Problem at this Fayetteville, Georgia Home Started

There is a gap between the bricks and the top of the foundation vent

How the mice got into a house in Fayetteville

This one looks like sloppy craftsmanship to me. I don't think that foundation vent cover ever fit the opening properly. But the person who jammed the pipe through it didn't help matters, either.
