Carpenter bees at work in Avondale Estates
This video was originally published on June 22, 2018 and is of carpenter bees busy at work drilling holes in this house in Avondale Estates to lay their eggs.
Carpenter bees are solitary bees, not social bees; but it's not unusual to find multiple females nesting in the same structure. They don't need each other and don't cooperate, as far as we know; but they're not especially territorial, either.
