How Mice Got Into the Attic of a House in Riverdale, Georgia

Gaps between the water damaged soffit panel and wooden trim of a house in Riverdale Georgia allowed mice to get into the attic

How mice got into an attic in Riverdalq

Sometimes mice get into attics by climbing up inside the walls. But the mice got into the attic of this house in Riverdale, Georgia by climbing up the outside of the house (or possibly a tree that was touching or overhanging the house), and getting in through the gaps in the soffit, which look to be the result of water damage.

This isn't exactly rare, but it is a bit unusual because mice don't like to be out in the open where they're exposed to predators. They also have relatively poor vision, so it's doubtful that they knew the openings were up there until they stumbled across them. It's possibly that they were chased up the wall by a predator animal, and didn't find the gaps until they got to the soffit.
