Rat entry gap into a house in Atlanta
I can't say for sure, but it looks like someone tried to seal that hole where the brick was removed from this house in Atlanta with mortar. It could also just be residual mortar that was already there before the brick was removed. I can't really tell from the picture.
The one thing I do know is that Norway rats got into this Atlanta home through the opening where the brick used to be.
