Sealing rats out of a crawl space in Atlanta

Most people don't think of electric screwdrivers as rat control tools of the trade, but they rank pretty high in our arsenal. We control rats by sealing them out of houses, not by poisoning them. It's a safer, more effective, more permanent, and more environmentally-responsible way to do rat control.

Many rat poisons are secondarily toxic, which basically means that a predator animal like a hawk or a fox who eats the poisoned rat could itself be poisoned. The same could happen to a pet cat or dog. Using non-chemical rat control completely avoids that possibility. Trapping rats also eliminates the possibility of a poisoned rat dying inside a wall or ceiling void and stinking up your home.

The man in the picture is our technician Carl, and he's in the process of sealing Norway rats out of a house in Atlanta to make it rat-proof.
