That one inch gap was all the roof rats needed to get into the attic of this house in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

On the bright side, the absence of rub marks or stains suggests that this is a very new rat infestation. We'll still have to seal up the house, but the rat cleanup stage of the job should be much easier.
