How Tree Rats Became Roof Rats in the Attic of a Carrolton, Georgia Home

Roof rat gap into a house in Carrollton
There is no difference between a tree rat and a roof rat other than where they happen to be living. They're the same animal, Rattus rattus.
This one-inch gap under the roof sheathing allowed tree rats to get into this house in Carrollton, Georgia, whereupon they became roof rats. We'll trap and remove the rats and seal up the gap to keep rats by any other name out of the attic.
