Roof Rat Gap into the Attic of a House in Signal Mountain, Tennessee

One inch gap between the roof sheathing and fascia that allowed tree rats to get into the attic of a house in Signal Mountain Tennessee

Roof rat gap into an attic in Signal Mountain

The rub marks on the fascia suggest that the rat infestation in this attic began at least a year ago. That means there likely are many more rats and a lot more contamination than had the problem been handled sooner. It's always good to treat rat problems early because they reproduce at an impressive rate, so small rat problems become big rat problems pretty quickly.

We'll trap the rats and remove them from the attic without using poisons, and seal up the roof good and tight to prevent rats from getting in.
