Squirrel damage to a roof vent pipe in Dallas
The squirrels gnawed this roof vent pipe away in a spiral pattern. I have no idea why. Had they actually climbed down the pipe, they probably would have gotten stuck and died from the septic gases, anyway. But as I often say, squirrels are not deep thinkers.
We replaced the pipe and base, applied an outer cover to it to discourage future damage, and sealed up the roof to keep squirrels out of this house in Dallas, Georgia.
