Raccoon Damage to a Soffit Panel at a House in Fayetteville, Georgia

An 18 inch section of soffit panel on a Fayetteville Georgia home is sagging due to the weight of raccoons that were in the soffit

Raccoons collapsed a soffit panel in Fayetteville

This is a very common kind of damage that raccoons and other animals can cause when they get into attics: The soffit panel is sagging because of the weight of raccoons on top of it.

What usually happens is that the house starts settling at the peak, which pushes the eaves outward a bit. If they were cut to the proper size to begin with, they usually stay put. But add the weight of animals on top of the panels, and they start sagging and sometimes completely falling out.

We'll trap the raccoons and remove them from the attic, repair the damage, and seal the house to prevent raccoons and other critter from getting in any more.
