How tree rats got into a house in Macon
Clearing tree branches back away from your home can go a long way toward reducing roof rat infestations.
Although roof rats are perfectly capable of climbing up the side of a house, they don't like being exposed to predators. They fear being eaten, which would definitely be an unhappy event in an otherwise lovely day. But when the branches of a tree are right up against a house as in this picture, the rats feel more secure because they are somewhat concealed by the foliage.
The trees allowed tree rats to easily get into the attic of this house in Macon, which really made their day. The homeowner, however, wasn't so happy about it. That's why we'll be removing the rats from the attic of this house in Macon, as well as sealing the roof and trimming back the trees so rats and other critters can't get into the house anymore.
