Shoddy Flashing Job Allowed Bats into the Attic of this House in Atlanta

The flashing has a gap behind the crease of about half an inch which allowed bats into the attic of a house in Atlanta

Sloppy flashing let bats into an attic in Atlanta

Sloppy flashing is one of the ways that bats get into homes. It looks like this flashing was just shoved under the shingles without being attached to the roof. Over time, it slid down and created a gap, which in turn allowed bats to get into the attic of this house in Atlanta.

We'll fix the flashing and seal any other gaps we find to keep bats out of the attic.
