How Bats Got into the Attic of this House in Lithonia, Georgia

Half inch gap between the flake board roof sheathing and the wooden fascia that bats used to get into the attic of a house in Lithonia Georgia has no bat rub marks or stains

Bat entry gap into an attic in Lithonia

This half-inch gap between the roof sheathing and fascia allowed bats to get into the attic of a house in Lithonia, Georgia.

The good news is that the lack of any bat rub marks or stains indicates that this is a very new bat problem. That doesn't change the process of removing the bats and sealing them out of the attic; but it makes the guano removal part of the job easier, and it may avoid the need to replace the insulation.
