Open-Door Policy Allowed Rats into the Crawl Space of a House in Atlanta

The wooden crawl space door is ajar and is missing a vertical slat on its hasp side which allowed Norway rats into the crawl space of a house in Atlanta

How rats got into a crawl space in Atlanta

Not only is this crawl space door missing a piece on the hasp side, but it also wasn't closed. Either problem would have made it easy for Norway rats to get into the crawl space. Together, the open-door policy was irresistible.

We'll repair or replace that door, as well as do something on the bottom of the door (probably pour a concrete saddle), to keep rats out of the crawl space of this house in Atlanta.
