Raccoon Damage to the Soffit Panel of a House in Atlanta

The soffit panel is collapsed in the corner and for several feet back from the corner due to the weight of raccoons running on top of it.

Raccoon damage to a soffit panel in Atlanta

Here's another example of a very common type of raccoon damage for this time of year. Young male raccoons tend to spend their first winters either alone or with other young males, often in the attics of houses. When they run inside the soffits, their weight can collapse the panels. Eventually they either fall through or learn not to run there.

We'll trap and remove the raccoons from the attic of this Atlanta home, reinstall or replace the soffit panel, and seal the house to keep raccoons out.
