Loose Dryer Vent Allowed Mice into a House in Cumming, Georgia

There is a gap of about half an inch between the flange of the clothes dryer vent and the siding that allowed mice into a house in Cumming Georgia.

Mouse gap behind a dryer vent in Cumming

It doesn't look to me like that dryer vent was ever properly secured to the house. Over time, it worked its way out, creating a half-inch gap between the dryer vent and the siding. That made it easy for mice to get into this house in Cumming, Georgia.

We'll non-chemically treat the mouse problem, re-attach and secure the dryer vent, and seal any other gaps we find to keep mice out of the house.
