Gap Behind the Corner Post Allowed Mice into the Attic of a Calhoun, Georgia Home

Roughly half inch gap between the vinyl corner post and the wall allow mice to climb up behind the trim and into the attic of a house in Calhoun Georgia.

How mice climbed up and into an attic in Calhoun

There probably was a cap in the bottom of the corner post at one time, but they tend to fall out. A passing mouse noticed the gap, and used it to climb up the wall and into the attic of this house in Calhoun, Georgia.

The reason gaps like this are so attractive to mice are because they feel more protected from predators. They also make the wall easier to climb because the mice can brace their backs against the trim to get a better grip on the wall.
