Yellow Jacket Hole into a House in Athens, Georgia
Yellow jacket hole into a house in Athens
Yellow jacket wasps like to build nests in completely enclosed structural voids. They often with use a crack or gap in a building's exterior to get inside, and then travel inside the building to where their nest is. It may be quite a distance from the entry hole.
Simply spraying an insecticide into the entry hole almost always makes the problem worse. The wasps will be stirred up and look for another way to get into and out of the home, which may be through recessed lighting or other points that lead into the living area.
The proper way to deal with a yellow jacket problem is to find the nest and treat it directly, which is how we'll be treating the yellow jacket nest at this house in Athens, Georgia.
