Open Drain Pipe Allowed Rats into a House in Hoover, Alabama

Metal drain pipe with a broken end cap that allowed Norway rats into a house in Hoover Alabama.

How rats got into this house in Hoover

Breaks, gaps, missing end caps, and other plumbing defects and damage are very common ways for rats to get into buildings. When that happens, the solution is to get the plumbing defects repaired, and set traps to non-chemically remove the rats that already got into the house. The basement or crawl space should also be ventilated to remove any sewer gases. In some cases, additional cleaning or sanitizing will also be needed to remove rat filth.

That's how we'll treat the Norway rat problem in this house in Hoover, Alabama.
