Raccoon scat in an attic in Johns Creek

Just in case you were wondering what raccoon poop looks like, here's a picture of a pile of raccoon scat in the attic of a house in Johns Creek, Georgia.

Raccoons have a peculiar habit of setting apart one area to use as a latrine. When that area gets full, they set apart another one. But usually all the attic insulation has to be replaced because they trample it flat, reducing its insulating efficiency. They also may shed fleas and other parasites that have to be removed from the house, and the only way to do that is to remove and replace the insulation.
