What happened here was that a trainee who shall remain nameless dropped his cell phone inside a wall from the attic. it was playing music, so the crew could hear where it was; but they were unable to fish it out.
After unsuccessfully trying the angler's approach to retrieving the phone, the customer allowed Justin to cut a hole through the Sheetrock wall to retrieve the phone and give it back to the trainee. The trainee got his phone back. He also got his first lesson in how to patch and touch up Sheetrock walls.
In the end, everything is as good as new; and they all lived happily ever after. Or at least until the next job.
