Why this Atlanta Home Needs Norway Rats Removed from the Crawl Space

A gap of several inches between the foundation and sill plate where some pipes pass through needs to be sealed as part of an Atlanta rat control job.

Why this Atlanta home has a Norway rat problem

My guess is that the plumbers made a big old hole in the cinder block to pass those pipes through, and then tried to seal it with mortar.

The problem is that mortar isn't made to seal holes, especially holes that big. It eventually dries out, shrinks, and crumbles; and in this case, allowed Norway rats into the crawl space.

Our technicians will knock out the remaining mortar and properly seal the gap as part of this Atlanta rat control job. They'll also use traps -- not poisons -- to eliminate the existing rat infestation, leaving the house both rat-free and rat-proof.
