Competitor's mouse-proofing attempt in Dunwoody

This is what one of our inspectors found at a house in Dunwoody, Georgia that supposedly had been mouse-proofed by another company. The gap between the flashing and the fascia is actually big enough for roof rats to get through, and would give squirrels a starting point to gnaw their way in. Obviously mice could walk right through it, which is exactly what they did.

We have a non-chemical rodent pest control team in the attic doing the interior mouse control work, which basically means setting traps. They'll also install a steel pest barrier over the gaps in the edges of the roof when the rain lets up, as well as seal all the gaps in the house from top to bottom to make it rodent-proof.
