This is a pretty common situation. When gaps develop between the walls and the soffits or frieze boards of a house, bats can use those gaps to get into the attic. This half inch gap is the reason why one of our wildlife-management crews is doing bat removal and exclusion at this Norcross, Georgia home today.

Bat removal is a passive process. We don't actively chase the bats out of the house. We use temporary check valve traps to prevent them from getting back in after they leave to feed, and then we permanently seal them out once we're sure that they're all out of the attic.
