Squirrels chewed into the soffit in Hiawassee

More than likely the squirrel who chewed this hole into the soffit of this Hiawassee, Georgia home started with a small gap between the sheathing and the fascia, and enlarged it to the lemon-sized hole in the picture. Squirrels can easily gnaw through wood -- it's kind of in their job description -- but they do need a starting point that they can wrap their teeth around.
