Here's a video of Jason and Justin doing snake removal at a Macon, Georgia home. Jason was actually shooting the footage. Justin is the guy who was handling the snake.
The biggest problem with snakes in a crawl space or under a porch is that they're often indicative of a rodent problem. Non-venomous snakes are actually doing you a favor by eating the rats and mice. (So are venomous snakes, actually; but having venomous snakes near where people live is too risky.)
The point is that if you're having a problem with snakes, you should also get the house inspected for a possible rodent problem. The snakes most likely are just looking for a meal.
